Control instrument
The control instruments HSG 10 – 1 is used for controlling the high voltage transformers of the type HTR 100.
It consists of a variac, test meters for measuring the current and high voltage, operational components for the high voltage spark gap, a timer for the test duration and safety circuit.
Transformer
The low voltage winding can be supplied continuously from zero to the maximum value of the HSG 10-1 so that a certain output is available for a pre-determined period. The operating duration depends on the application ranging from a few minutes to continuous operation.
The test transformer is single pole insulated and is mounted in a insulated cylinder with top and bottom flanges. The insulation material is primarily oil impregnated paper.
