It is very difficult to locate a fault or a cable end inn a branched network by TDR measurement. The Echo Pulser marks a certain point  in the network thus enabling the user to locate and identify this point by means of a TDR easily.

The marked connection point in the network is easily to distinguuish with a suitable reflectometer..

The impulse reflections of the joints / branches on the TDR`s display have no influence on the measurement.the installed cable length and ist correct connection between the Echo Pulser and the TDR is proofed. Other cable length of the cable network are measured by connecting the reflectometer to the remaining branches. Other cable length of the cable network are measured by connecting the reflectometer  to the remaing branches.

Faulty cable lines are detected the same way. Repair works do only need a disconnection of damaged cable instead of the whole network.
